?What is Hyaline Casts?

Hyaline casts are cylindrical protein structures formed in the kidney tubules and excreted in urine. They are composed primarily of Tamm-Horsfall protein (uromodulin) and represent the most common type of urinary cast. Small numbers (0–2 per low power field) may be present in healthy individuals, particularly after strenuous exercise, dehydration, or stress.
