?What is Oleic Acid?

Oleic acid is the most abundant monounsaturated omega-9 fatty acid, making up the majority of olive oil (55-83%). The human body can synthesise oleic acid, so it is not an essential fatty acid. It is incorporated into cell membranes and influences membrane fluidity, insulin receptor function, and LDL oxidation resistance.
